Fabulous Army Life

Tonight, we were super proud to view art on display created by our boys at their respective schools.  Trey loved his Art class with Ms. Physioc and Joshua always looks forward to Fridays with Mr. Woodard.  Great work, my boys!

Joshua's class had a super fun 4th Grade Holiday party at school. The room moms put this plan together: 10:00 – 11:30 AM Watch “The Polar Express” 11:30 – 12:15 PM Read the book The Polar Express. Discuss differences/similarities between the book and the movie. Whole Class Craft: Make candy cane ornaments to take home. Polar Express Activities, optional Polar Express Activities from Traci Adkins Cook 12:15 - 12:45 PM Lunch in the classroom, snacks, and Hot Cocoa 12:45 - 1:15 RECESS 1:20 – 1:40 PM STATION ONE 1:45 – 2:05 PM STATION TWO 2:10 – 2:30 PM STATION THREE Kids will begin stations at their own tables. When stations are complete, the 'bells' ring and students will move clockwise on table over to the next station. Whew! I spent the last two days at each of my boys' Field Day events at their schools and had a great time.  Mountain View has a fabulous P.E. program and I am always impressed with the coaches and all the fun things they plan.  This event is all about fun, but includes some crazy physical fitness challenges as well.  It is moderately competitive, in that the classes do split into teams to compete against each other, but there is no hardcore competition ... or awards to be won. Joshua's Field Day was held on Thursday and it was a beautiful day for it ... warm with a breeze.  Friday showed up with a little more heat, but still with a good breeze, and both days were full of fun.
