Christmas Day 2013

Christmas morning was full of fun, discovering stockings and Santa gifts and spending the day together.  Trey was eager to try out his new arrows for his bow, Joshua was quick to spend a little more time on his new tablet, and we had a great day relaxing together.

Christmas Eve Family Gifts

The boys enjoyed our worship services at McLean Bible Church and were excited to open family gifts tonight.  My favorite moments of the evening included Leo's howling with Nate's new "Duck Dynasty" duck call and the boys' faces as they opened the gifts we chose for them.  It's been a very merry Christmas here in Vienna.

Spring Break Snow Day

Happy Spring Break, Northern Virginia! We woke up to 3-4" of snow on the first day of Spring Break, delaying the first day of basketball camp by an hour. The boys took advantage of the delay with a good, old-fashioned snowball fight. Although Joshua declared that snow days are not nearly as much fun when it's not a school day they're missing, they still had a great time.

Snow Day!

After weeks of bemoaning the fact that Texas has received more snowfall than DC this winter, the boys were THRILLED to wake up to a full-day SNOW DAY here in Virginia.  They spent hours out in the snow ... building forts, snowball fighting, and making snowmen.  Even Leo joined in on the fun.  He refused to go outside alone but stayed out the entire time the boys were out, playing right along with them. Some hot cocoa and homemade chili warmed us all in the evening and everyone slept well ... further enjoying the 2-hour delay the next day! Hooray for Snow Day 2013!
