Lisa's Lovely Farewell

Attendees were encouraged to wear tea hats ... what a lovely photo of the ladies!

Personal touches were ever-present and Lisa's personality was highlighted throughout.  A truly lovely farewell for a truly lovely lady.

Photos highlighting Lisa's time with 1-5 CAV serve as decorations.

Each guest left with a party favor, including a cute silver flower charm.  Guests were encouraged to write notes to Lisa to be added to her farewell gift.

A displayed schedule was decorative and kept everyone informed of the evening's events.

Food was covered by the venue, Ambrosia's Tea Room in Salado, Texas.

Shelley presents her comments, farewelling Lisa from the 1-5 CAV Family.

Honoring Volunteers and Kids

At the end of our Red Dragon Spring Fling, we honored volunteers from each battery with a certificate signed by the battalion commander and battalion CSM. Ladies received a unit charm necklace. Gentlemen received a unit coffee mug or t-shirt. All the kids received a "I Love my Red Dragon Soldier!" arm band in honor of the Month of the Military Child. We have some amazing Families in this unit and it was a joy to honor them in this way.

Red Dragon Spring Fling

The Red Dragon battalion took some time this afternoon to enjoy a beautiful Texas Spring day. Each battery set up activities and crafts for the kids, Soldiers cooked hamburgers and hot dogs, and volunteers set up a Dragon Egg Hunt around the 1st Cavalry Division museum.  It turned out to be a really fun time of relaxing and visiting and enjoying the kids play.
