We had a rather lovely Easter Sunday today. The boys woke to their annual Easter treat basket and we enjoyed breakfast together. We revisited the Easter Story using "Resurrection Eggs" ... a series of 12 plastic eggs containing a symbol of one part of the story. Each egg has a verse from the Bible to go with it. This year, Joshua read the story. I love it because it tells the story in an easy-to-follow and interesting format and we are reminded again of Christ's amazing love for us.
A backyard egg hunt followed then it was time for lunch and going to church. Our friend, Zach, made the trip with us this week and we were happy to spend that time with him. We made a quick stop on the way to Legacy to snap a photo with some Texas bluebonnets, which are blooming everywhere right now.
The church service was beautiful and we were excited that Gram and Granddad were able to join us! We ended the day fellowshipping with family and friends at Chuy's Restaurant in Round Rock. I am so thankful for peaceful days like today, full of family and friends and blessings beyond measure. Happy Easter!
