The Passing of Papa Adkins

We received the news of my grandfather's passing on Thanksgiving Day.  He died right about 12:00 noon on Thanksgiving Day.  Papa has always been a positive, loving influence in my life and I am sad to see him go.  I do believe, however, that he was able to spend his first Thanksgiving with my Granny in 25+ years.  In fact, some of my cousins and I were joking that Granny probably asked him to be ready for dinner in Heaven at noon and gladly complied. We will celebrate his life at a funeral service early next week. Papa with five of eight grand-girls on his 94th birthday! Happy Thanksgiving!

The Cook Family Thanksgiving We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving on Fort Hood.  The Dining Facilities compete for honors in food service, decorations, and more so it's always a great meal and a fun atmosphere. One of the amazing cakes on display Trey enjoyed the many options available at this Thanksgiving dinner! Joshua was slightly more selective than Trey but just as happy! We loved having Gram and Granddad with us this year! After dinner, Nate helped serve Soldiers and Families.

I Needed This Laugh Today

I saw this on a friend's Facebook status update and decided to give it a try.  I really needed the laugh; and this worked!  Do this: Go to Google maps online. Click "Get directions." Type "Japan" as the start location. Type "China" as the end location. Scroll to number 43 on the written directions. Laugh out loud then share with a friend! Another friend shared this similar laugh: Go to Google maps online. Click "Get directions." Type "Los Angeles, CA" as the start location. Type "Honolulu, HI" as the end location. Scroll to number 13 on the written directions! Enjoy!
