Fabulous Army Life

We were early risers today as we made our way to Waco for the 2011 Homecoming Parade. It was fun for the kids to see the floats (and get lots of candy) ... and especially to spend time with their Cook cousins. Our fun friend, Clayton, made the trip with us and spent the morning with my boys. Afterwards, we enjoyed a yummy lunch at Gram and Granddad's house and loved getting to visit with the Cook Family. We spent a lot of time in a neighbor's pool, beating the Texas heat.  A bonus on the last day? Watermelon!

Danny and Rachel's golden retriever, Zoe, had a litter of 8 adorable puppies in early March. She was bred with a standard poodle for a batch of beautiful Golden Doodles! After church today, all the Cook cousins were able to see these three-week-old little bundles of puppy joy. It was a fun afternoon for everyone, puppies included! The Cook cousins spent the night together camping in Gram and Granddad's backyard.  They had a great time putting the tent together and spending the evening giggling and telling stories before falling to sleep late into the night.  Good memories for some super-sweet kids! How many cousins does it take to set up a tent?  The girls are getting it done! Joshua is experienced with putting this tent together.  Trey stands ready with the mallet.  The tent goes up!
